This is the second post in a new series that is roughly identical to my Pokémon series where I show you which sealed boxes I own and how much money they’ve made me:
I’ve been investing in MTG collector boxes for over five years and own at least three of every box ever made thus far.
I buy upon release (or increase my position later) no matter what.
As of Q3 2026, I broadened my horizons and am now investing in non-collector product after watching a new trend develop in the first half of 2026.
It was obvious to me after about six months (and a few others on YouTube) that Wizards of the Coast is trying to adopt more of a Pokémon playbook with their product.
Most products now operate in cycles where the price on the open market increases by a considerable amount between reprints (more on this in last month’s post).
I believe this can be taken advantage of.
